Our
aim for our tourneys is simply for both Players and JTDs to:
· Have lots of fun
· Have respect for each other
· Play fair and competitive games
Following are the rules to help us achieve our aims. A breach
of any rule should be bought to JTD attention and can result from a
caution issued through to disqualification from the tourney.
The decision of the hosting JTD is final during a tourney.
1. Have fun and respect each other. Any conduct by you the JTD
deems restrictive or inhibiting anyone else from enjoying the
tourney will not be permitted. Follow up action to resolve
conflict situations may include warning, kick, mute, ban etc
2. Please sign up early. Late sign-ups delay the tourney and
shows discourteous to other players and the JTD hosting the tourney.
If you cannot finish the tourney please do not sign up. The
JTD has the right to suspend or ban player(s), who sign up then
leave without finishing their game.
3. Only one player per dwelling may participate in a tourney.
4. For data collection purposes a report is forwarded to JTDRosie at
the end of each tourney.
5. Players need to stay in the tourney lobby for the duration of the
tourney. All other lobbies must be closed. No
participation in other online events is allowed.
6. Advancers are used in tourneys at JTD discretion. If an
advancer meets a team in the Finals that they have previously
‘lost to’ then they have to win twice to be declared the tourney
winners. An advancer is the team in any round with the
smallest score difference from the winner of their game.
7. Players must go to their games once announced and only assigned
players may be present. Before anyone else enters a game-room
they need JTD consent.
8. All players at a table are responsible for checking the table
settings. There may be one table reset if settings are wrong
but once 1st hand is complete then the settings stay in place.
Tables must not be locked.
9. Restarting a game is not allowed without JTD consent.
Please do not shut the table down until the current score is given
to and “okayed” by the JTD.
10. A misbid at initial start of first hand will be allowed a one
restart, after that DQ; unless the game rules state a
“misbid is an automatic DQ”, then it is immediate.
11. Table talk is limited to past events seen by all players at the
table. No talk or wavs that may indicate cards in hand or
decisions being made are allowed.
12. Any accusations of cheating may not be conveyed in the lobby.
Please ask to speak to the JTD in ipTalk.
13. A Sub will permanently replace a booted player who has not
returned after 7 mins or has been booted 3 times from 1 game.
Players left in game should tell the JTD then wait for booted
player’s return. A Sub may be sent in at any time to keep
the game running in a timely manner. The Bot or JTD will fill
in as a Sub if required in the final game.
14. All comm-devices must be turned off for tourney duration, ie,
AIM, ICQ, MSN etc. No message may be received while a
game is in progress (even if accidental).
15. If a player or team leaves a game early to attend another
event then the team remaining is advanced without a Sub coming into
the game. The ‘leaving’ players risk being banned from
future tourneys due to this action.
16. Any complaints regarding anything in This Joint Is Jumpin should
be addressed to Rosie, Club Owner at JTDRosie@aol.com including any
evidence applicable.
17. A person(s) may be suspended or permanently banned from the
club’s lobbies. Any further contact should be to Rosie, Club
Owner at JTDRosie@aol.com
